Realistic and Futuristic Weaponry in Call of Duty: Black Ops II

The latest of the Call of Duty series – Black Ops II promises to bring some futuristic weapons along with the real ones. As much of the plot of CoD: BO II is based on future, 2025 AD, the enthusiasts of the game will be greeted with some never-seen-before weapons that will add to the already huge weaponry kit of CoD. It’s not only about weapons; gamers will find some very exciting perks during the game play that will boost the efficiency of the weapon and increase potential of the player too.

The Call of Duty Black Ops 2 due to be released in November, 2012 has more than 20 different weapons ranging Vietnam-era type to real to futuristic ones. The experience with weaponry in Cod: BO II is never going to be the same. Call of Duty weapons list include 4 different pistols, 7 different assault rifles, 3 types of submachine guns, 2 light machine guns, a sniper, a shot gun and a launcher. However, all these may or may not be there in some or all versions of Black Ops II. It could be little disheartening for gun-lovers that some of the previous eras weapons may not be available in multi-player mode. The information and the news doing the rounds about the CoD weaponry are mostly true but still not 100% confirmed.

The confirmed weapons that will not be included in the multi-player mode are AK47 and M16. Though they may be missed by some players the whole load of other sophisticated guns will surely suffice for small loss. Of the pistols, Type92 holds 15 rounds and can be used to fire 9×19 parabellum round. It also has a special Chinese 5.8 variant too. While FN5-7 fires 5.7×28 mm ammo (from where it derives its name), KAP40 is a semi-automatic pistol. For those whose mind did thought of the pistol in the promotional posters, it M1911 from the previous game.

Enthusiasts’ wait to know about the futuristic weapons is justified and can be understood. So, here are they – Chicom QCB and Strom PSR. Chicom QCB is a Chinese submachine gun, it is speculated that it could be a variant of QCW-05. However, there is no real-life counterpart to it. The Storm PSR definitely sounds strong and heavy with it capability to unleash multi-bullet shots that are charged enough to punch through covers. It also comes with ability of thermal scan which seems straight out of James Bond movies.

Such variety in Call of Duty weapons list promises to make it a hit with the game enthusiast community. The perks that the game offers while playing will further boost the performance of these guns and make gaming experience more realistic and immersive. Every perk has pro version that the players can unlock during the game. The perks are also in good numbers and can at least be categorised in 3 different slots. With considerable advancement in audio/visuals of the game and such vast kit of ammunition and weapons available for the players, CoD: BO II can only be awaited to finally experience the thrill.
