There are a lot of speculations about the new features of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and its release date. Word on the street is that it will be released on November this year. The speculations started when Hugo Beyer, a game artist, added Black Ops 2 as a new project on his LinkedIn page. Hugo Beyer was one of the artists that helped release the original Black Ops game. But before this, Treyarch posted on their website a job ad for a senior Platform Engineer to work for a new console. Black Ops 2 was also listed in Amazon as a pre-order item for a brief period before it was taken down

These speculations appear to have a strong foundation since Treyarch appears to have secretly purchased the domain name blackops2.com. The domain currently remains hush hush with the help of the company MarkMonitor to protect it before the new game is officially released. The domain name was created on May 9, 2010 and last updated on January 6, 2012. The domain was paid for until May 9, 2013 which makes it more possible that the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be released late this year.
